While this movie tried to piggyback on the success of Pulp Fiction at the time, and you can tell....the majority of the stories are still very well done. The story reads more like an Elmore Leonard novel than an original work, but really does a great job at character development and it's over the top "near noire" style. Spader and Theron are amazing on screen together and Aiello has such a great straight-faced comedic style that it just makes this film work. Unfortunately, it doesn't get the love it deserves, but if you like a good ensemble film with an Elmore Leonard feel, then check this out.
