The first cartoon to bring Beans the Cat back after “I Haven’t Got a Hat”. WB thought that Beans was the real breakout star of that short, but as this one shows, he doesn’t have much to offer. The basic story is that an animator working late at night gets stolen away into his own drawings by a villain, and Beans has to come to the rescue. In the end it was all a dream. Not worth watching. I did get a great picture of a crying toothless alligator from it, though.
