Hanna-Barbera takes Christmas to the Stone Age in A Flintstone Christmas. When Santa is injured while delivering presents to the Flintstones Fred and Barney offer to take his place and complete his rounds. Unfortunately Christmas just seems completely out of place in the Flintstone world (even more so than the usual anachronisms). And the plot is really thin, with a lot of filler. Also, it steals some of its songs from Yogi’s First Christmas; making it feel kind of slapdash and derivative. A Flintstone Christmas isn’t without Christmas cheer, but it’s a square peg in a round hole.
Pretty much a remake of the Christmas episode. Except in this one Santa has a sprained ankle and needs Fred to take over.
While Barney tags along unlike in the tv episode. Where in the episode, Barney had no clue Fred was off delivering presents.
