[Filmin] It is difficult to find LGBTQ-related films that manage to avoid some clichés. There is a clear intention in this movie, but the controversy surrounding the Sundance premiere proves that the path is not easy. The screenplay works in the ironic description of the contradictions within the LGBTQ community ("Queers against gay marriage!"), but when it gets serious it begins to fall into commonplaces.

Love is complicated and so is gender, and in as sweet a way as possible, this film explores that. A good film that never patronises, it can be watched by anybody, regardless of who or what they define themselves as.
