Airplane II: The Sequel 1982

Secound time around and I can say that the first is by far the best out of both. Same old gags but still not a bad film and didn't fail to make me laugh.

Serviceable sequel. Yes, it's more of the same, but more of a good thing is still a good thing.

Both Airplane movies are awesome. These are full of dad jokes and hilarious situations that are parodies of other serious movies. I remember watching the first Airplane movie as a kid, back in the 80s. I didn't know the name of the movie until I accidentally came across it a couple of days ago. I'm glad I did.

It follows the hilarious humor, but without the freshness of the original.

More of the same, but not as bad as people say.

With the original creative team gone, Airplane II: The Sequel is a cheap joke that goes nowhere. Essentially it’s the same movie redone with a sci-fi twist; the story follows a space flight that goes out of control while on its way to a lunar colony. The comedy re-does all of the same sight gags and jokes of the first film, only this time they’re forced and contrived. Still, the parodies of Star Wars, Star Trek, 2001: A Space Odyssey, E.T. and other major science-fiction films of the ‘70s and ‘80s provide some good laughs. Airplane II: The Sequel has its moments, but it tries too hard to copy the original and ends up being a mess.

Surprisingly good cast. The gags could be seen coming a mile away - it's like they took the original and did the same jokes in different words. Still funny and enjoyable.
