Wild stuff! Kind of a surrealist neo-giallo piece made in France, using minimal dialogue as well as incredibly stylish (and -ized), abstract camera work. This is pure visual cinema whose rather vague plot doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense but seems to resonate with your subconscious mind. The writer-director duo of Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani have made two more films so far, whose critical reaction has been even more divided than on this one. I’m sure as hell gonna seek these out as this kind of shit is right up my alley.
