An All Dogs Christmas Carol 1998

The straight-to-video holiday special An All Dogs Christmas Carol is one of the strangest adaptations of Charles Dickens’ classic. When Carface teams up with a witch to steal everyone’s Christmas presents, an angel gives Charlie and Itchy a miracle tag that they use to pay Carface a series of ghostly visitations in the hopes that he’ll have a change of heart. Featuring the voice talents of Ernest Borgnine, Dom DeLuise, Sheena Easton, Bebe Neuwirth, and Steven Weber, the cast isn’t too bad. However, the shoehorning of A Christmas Carol into this plot about angles, witches, and magic is rather bizarre. And the songs are pretty lackluster; though there a couple of catchy choruses. An All Dogs Christmas Carol is a bit of mess, but it’s entertaining in its silliness.
