An Angel for Satan 1966

I'll start by saying the movie looks beautiful. Every shot within belongs in a museum. This black and white, gothic horror movie gets so much right, but the story is tragically weak.
The plot reminded me of Dementia 13, though I'm not sure why, exactly.
An Angel for Satan - great title, by the way - stars the Queen herself, Barbara Steele, who, yet again, plays a duel personality - there are, like, three other movies where she does this.
The movie starts like a ghost story, but turns out to be nothing of the sort. Basically, we're dropped into a small village, Steele shows up, and all the men go insane because she's so damn hot. That's not a story, that's just Barbara Steele!
The finale is so weak and convoluted. During the first, and second act, I had no idea how they were going to wrap up the ending, and apparently neither did the filmmakers.
An absolute must watch for Steele fans. Just don't get your hopes up for a story that makes any sense.
