I am not a huge Woody Allen fan but this movie I saw 20 years ago and stayed with me. The story is deep- a woman writer seems to it all- she over hears a woman in therapy and struggling with life. This haunts her and forces the writer to reflect on her own life. She finds her life not as perfect as others see it. Rowlands is great-
A good movie. I didn't relate to the characters and found the main character being a writer slightly drab. Woody is again obsessed with sex and shrinks. It's well written and acted.
I did not expect to find this gem in the "Woody Allen movies that I haven't seen" bin. Gena Rowlands was extraordinary. Really, really great.

Thank God Bergman wasn't an American.
