Aquamarine 2006

A great fun, comical, family film about a mermaid that gets washed to shore into a pool after a storm who ends up helping two young girls realize the strength in their friendship can outlast one of the friends moving across the world, as well as them helping the mermaid fulfill her goal. In the end as the three girls develop an everlasting bond, the film makes the viewer clearly see the moral of the story being about the importance of friendship. From beginning to end this film is funny, heartwarming, and fun to watch as the plot was well executed.

Charming leads keep family film afloat. Not as interesting as I would have hoped, but interesting enough to not turn away. Fairly paint by numbers as such affairs go.

A family classic. All of my girls have been into mermaids and the older girls wanted to introduce this movie to the youngest. We had fun laughing with the movie, and sometimes at the movie. I think the older girls realized that this "classic" they love isn't really "good", but could still be fun to watch.

It's okay, quite sweet. More about friendship than love.

Emma Roberts and Joanna Levesque play well, the sort of boy crazed teens. You could picture playing dating board games with their spare time.
This is a cute and harmless Mermaid tale as well. With Sara Paxton also in good form as Aquamarine.
My niece loves it. So I get stuck watching it a lot.

I haven't rewatched this in literally years. I used to watch it so often. It quickly became one of my favorite movies ever since it came out. Glad to know it still makes me feel the same way, all warm and fuzzy inside. And yes, Raymond is still so dreamy. Sigh!
