In this second part of the Battle of the Bridge we tell story of 2 Paras' heroic struggle to capture and hold the Arnhem to allow Lt Gen Brian Horrocks XXX Corps to cross the Rhine.2 Paras' heroic but eventually failed struggle to hold the bridge will go down in the annals of history as an epic of courage and determination. Indeed a " Bridge too Far". The Paras of 1st Br Airborne Div had paid heavily for Montgomerey's risky gamble.
