I love The Room. I've seen it multiple times in a theatre and always had a blast. So I was very curious how Big Shark would turn out. Let's say it's a lot of wasted potential - a weird thing to say about a film from and with Tommy Wiseau, right? But the movie itself definitely has a lot of moments that have the potential to turn into cult scenes like in The Room. Hell, the story itself is even more inconsistent and "bad" as The Room's. The big problem here is, that most of the dialogue seems to be improvised which is something Tommy also confirmed in an interview. The Room kinda shines mostly because of it's ridiculous script and it's iconic lines and dialogues. Big Shark sadly hasn't a lot of these. Tommy isn't that good at improvising, so he often hastily mumbles the same few phrases, which definitely adds to the absurdity but makes things unnecessarily hectic. I think you still can have fun with this. In a fully crowded theatre, probably as a double feature with The Room.
