Black and Blue 2019

Great movie, although a little stereotypical. Awesome job by Naomie Harris and the supporting actors, all of who brought a roller-coaster ride of entertainment to the viewers. Time well spent.

I was swept along by the gritty, realistic action, of Naomie Harris’s character’s struggling to survive as she is caught between her two cultures who have both abandoned her. Good writing. Good cast. Good performances, especially Naomie. (It was hard to see Mike Colter/Luke Cage as a bad guy.). I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10. [Cop/Crook Action Drama]

5.5 / 10: Starts off clichéd yet with potential, but slowly, the initially on-point song lyrics stop matching what's being shown, silly action sequences are thrown in because why not, and character decisions just don't make a lick of sense no more.

To get "justice" for a couple murdered criminals, the film reaches the kind of body count you'd expect in a 1980s action movie.

Totally predictable flick. Good Cop Vs. Bad Cop. See it a hundred times. One time viewing will be good enough.

A very nice thriller with lots of action. Naomi really do a good performance. The movie exceed all my expectations. Recommend

Really enjoyed this movie. Bad cops, dirty cops and a Rookie stuck in the middle.
She turns to her old hood for help, but who will help a cop?
Good pace, will the bad cops get to the good cop and silence her.

Absolutely loved this film. I found the beginning a bit slow but once it got going I was totally drawn in and in the edge of my seat. Definitely worth watching

I wasn't expect to much about this movie, but it really surprised me, really good. 7.5/10

You can really start cheering her on in this film. She starts out a rookie 3 weeks in, and notices a more racial kind of thing blue and black. So in some ways title could have two meaning cause she also takes a beating along the way! Even had a great ending nice and tense lol. That's about all I can say without adding spoilers of course.

It's fine but nothing special. Naomi Harris was pretty good.

You'd have got a 7, just, if you hadn't had that awful exchange at the end.

Effective thriller, often taut and exciting. A little predictable in parts, but the cast carries it through.

Under-rated since it makes a good watch. Critics probably wanted it to be more political or realistic. The film is action packed and suspenseful throughout.
It feels a lot like you are watching a Purge movie meets Training Day. Naomi Harris was very good. Tyrse was at his best as well. Mike Colter (Luke Cage, Evil) is a fine actor, him gangsta though feels forced.
Frank Grillo (The Purge 2-3, Winter Soldier) is an under-rated actor. As a hero or villain his presence is intimidating. He is easily believable as a dangerous crooked cop.
This is Harris’ movie though and she is solid. As I said it did feel like the Purge meets Training Day. Despite being entertaining, it shouldn’t feel too original.

Enjoyed the movie watched it with family, movie is very understandable to people of color. Because you can understand the position shes in and can relate with the characters in the story, Enjoyed seeing alot of my favorite actors in this movie like Mike Colter who played his role very well and generally like nafessa williams but her character in this movie annoyed me Naomiee Harris did a great job and tyrese was tyrese.

Black and Blue begins with the aura of a tropey police drama, but manages to stay engaging by flipping the formula enough times to feel unpredictable and gripping. See the movie through its teething stage and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
