This is the Top Gun Barbie crossover no one asked for. It’s a disgrace to all competent and hardworking female combatants. I’m not just talking about the bad acting and directing.
Whoever wrote this did the opposite of breaking stereotypes. Instead scenes like the one where the squadron leader refuses an order “because my girls and I didn’t join to fight, we wanted to fly” type of nonsense is exactly why women are held back in the military and other fields. That’s the biggest stereotype today. That women want to be equal to men in pay and benefits, not in effort and job role expectations.
