Just a great and fun movie for the kids and adults to enjoy.
Genuinely walked in with no expectations and ended up walking out shouting "TRA LA LAAA" with the kids! haha
Great characters, fantastic animation, and the right voices for these characters.
Shouldn't be missed. A bundle of fun, never a dull moment.
8 year old son wanted to see it for his birthday. Took him and his sister. I enjoyed it more than what I was expecting.
A very funny movie, and this type of silly humour really appeals to me. It certainly wasn't the best of its kind, but it's definitely entertaining to watch.
Silly and very childish. It was great! Could have used more underpants and less poopypants (never thought I would write a sentence like that) but still very good.
I laughed my socks off. I wasn't wearing any but still. I enjoyed Captain Underpants way more than I expected! I think this is for both kids and adults a fun movie with the lesson that we should never stop laughing or having fun, as well as be nice to each other. At the end of the day, we all just want a little company and love.
I loved the style it was animated in. Quite different from the usual but very unique and funny. There were small jokes all over the place, which is something I always really appreciate. Just gives it an extra touch to see little plates in the background with a drawing or a joke on it.
I really enjoyed it and highly recommend everyone who doesn't back down from a different kind of animation to watch this.
Actually really enjoyed it. Sound and animation are top notch and genuinely fun. The story was pretty good as was the main villain and the subplot with the principal and lunch lady was so cute. I only laughed once but I wasn't in it for the comedy.
Tra-la-lame! If you grew up with this, you may enjoy it some, but otherwise it's pretty devoid of fun or cleverness. The kids will probably dig it, and that's who it's for, only I think it's only for really young ones...
Fun movie. Was a big fan of the books as a kid and thought this was faithful to the books. I'm glad they put a flip-o-rama in the movie. Those were always the best part of the books.
I got bored and turned it off.... I'm tiny Riiiiiiiiick!!!!!!
Kids wanted to watch it, so we did. I never heard of the book and had no expectations for this movie. Having said that, I enjoyed the film.
I can't wait for this movie, I read the books of captain underpants so much. Actually, made me start enjoying reading and this was 10 years ago. My expectations are a tiny bit high!
Good character design. Juvenile humour. Not for me.
Watched this with kids I was watching and as always that’s when you can truly appreciate a kids’ movie. It’s fun! Beautiful animation, and a lot of passion in the visuals. A few lines that got genuine chuckles. It’s not groundbreaking but it doesn’t need to be. Not even Kevin Hart could hold it back, and the kids had a blast.
I won't say much about the story, but I'm here with the rest: is fun.
But my favorite was the animation style. For one, they're all fat. Literally all characters are fat and not a single fatphobic joke. Well done there. Second, I LOVE the change on animation styles for telling little parts of the story. Don't know how many times they do it, but the puppets, the 2D drawings, and even going back to origins of animation with the flip book technique. So cute.
Funny and true to the books. Don't let the poop and fard humor deter you from this movie, give it a watch, you probably won't regret it.
Sad to say, even Kevin Hart couldn't help this movie.
Just watched this movie, and although it lacks in the comedy department, I still love the film either way. The film has witty humour but it does sound like the humour is from Kindergarten. The voice actors nailed it, and at the end, when Poopypants got defeated, it felt so good! In the long run, it is a solid movie and I would give it 7 out of 10.
I used to read the books when I was a kid. This movie is very well made and I watched it all with a smile on my face. Captain Underpants books were what made me start reading, I really enjoyed this adaptation to the big screen and I hope they make a second one.
I like childish movies from time to time, but this movie just wasn't very good. Neither for kids, nor adults.
The jokes here really fall flat and I mean, who really thinks fart pillows are funny these days?
literally amazing! best movie i watched all year!
kids wanted to see the movie so we went. great movie for kids and although i had a few laughs i found the movie lacking adult wise. reviewing as a kids movie.... tra la la! fun and after a few months they still redo some lines.
