Wow. The gruesome scene at the river. Another new kill to be added to horror history. Charlie is one real scary horror icon at 6’11’’ and strong as an ox.
Well that was only just watchable. Unfortunately the film replied on extreme moments of gore instead of prolonged tension. There was no building of tension at all and quite predictable. There were so many interesting places the film could have gone but sadly it didn't.
This showed up as something I should watch because I watched Boar . This was not nearly as good. Same old "creepy murderer's house in the woods, let's go explore" story line. It does have some great gore and it is Australian, which I have a weakness for. Mostly forgettable.

I was hoping this would be good... but it wasn't. Cliché presentation, weak story (with a huge chunk of flashback) and mediocre kills. Sure there is some gore but the editing and framing bring no joy to it.
