Great movie with some very tense moments and nice perfomances.. 7.5/10
This dark story of a young man who found religion in prison and God when he got out is an intricately assembled sermon with a message... if you can believe it.
A delinquent is released from juvenile detention only to find himself impersonating a priest in a small Polish town that is recovering from a mysterious disaster...
The story gets away from the writer at moments, but, thank God, the powerful performance by Polish actor Bartosz Bielenia, the tour de force directing by Jan Komasa (the film was nominated for a Best International Feature Oscar), and intertwining storylines which weave a tale that is suspenseful, philosophical and psychological make Boże Ciało (Corpus Christi) the most intriguing think-piece you'll see in a long while. Hallelujah!
Can't find anything enough for an oscar nomination
