Deadpool 2 2018

I think it was on par with the first movie, maybe just slightly worse.

A lot of jokes fired one after the other and then some serious moments make for a nice mix. The plot wasn't the best, but still acceptable.

Great performances all around, but especially from Reynolds and Brolin. Loved how the movie is setting up some kind of bromance between their characters.

The action scenes looked good, the combat was choreographed well, entertaining and never banal. The CGI, on the other hand, was shaky at best ( that plane looked very fake ). Fortunately it doesn't impact the movie too much.

A very fun movie, suggested to everyone who liked the first.

8/10

overkill!! if you were on the fence with the first, this one is going to push you over.

had to much going on and far too few thread too hold it all together

Holy fuckin shitballs. Rock solid movie.

You know how Kick Ass was such a great film and then the second one was a bomb because we'd seen it all before? Well, guess what -- you won't have that impression at all with Deadpool 2. The jokes are funnier and the action is action...ier. What's more, we don't have to Wade through all of the back origin story so this film cuts straight to the chase. I rated the first Deadpool 9/10, and this one 8/10 because it is slightly derivative and the final scene goes on a tad too long, but honestly, if I'd seen this one first I'd have given it a 9.

I was really afraid that this sequel would stink – there's rarely sequels that are as entertaining as this one.
It was really great to watch and the puns and comedy was just spot on as in the first movie. I really loved that they were able to convince Céline Dion to sing an amazing the intro song and create a great James-Bond-style title.
The overall story was not necessarily innovative but the comedy made more than up for it – I love that the borders between movie and reality mix whenever Deadpool starts talking to the audience or references real-life people.

Deadpool 2 tastes much better than your average slice of leftover pizza.

loading replies

Fucking HILARIOUS. The first Deadpool didn't quite hook me, Deadpool as a person is not very interesting in my opinion so having a story based on his origin felt pointless, and i think the plot was a little bland and a little TOO small-scale for a superhero movie. DP2 goes bigger and better with dozens of new characters, unique locations, epic jokes and a very interesting story that actually has high stakes. It's just an all around better movie, and it's clear that Deadpool is now officially being taken seriously by Marvel. Really looking forward to DP3.

This movie made me laugh so much! The comedic value cannot be understated. DP2 is one of the best comedies i've ever seen.

worst xmen movie ive seen

loading replies

I'm sure lefty loved it.
Not for me.

loading replies

Not quite as good as the first movie from a comedy perspective. I think he either went too far with the fourth wall stuff or not far enough.

loading replies

As a super-hero/deadpool movie, this was a bomb.

Personally, I don't think it was as good as the first movie. Some of the jokes seemed a little too forced while other were on point. And some parts of the movie seemed a little too random, but hey, it is a Deadpool movie.

About the action sequences, ON POINT. Definitely eye catching.

X-Force, well, I must admit the first time I saw the movie, I though that they would actually make something instead of dying like seconds after the jump, funny moment tho.

Ryan and Morena make a super cute couple. Ship on that.

The soundtrack, good, random and funny music, Deadpool style.

I honestly think that a third installment could happen, however, the writers must think/create an awesome script too fulfill the public expectations.

Oh, and 'I'm touching myself tonight'.

Tras volver a ver #Deadpool2 me sigue crispando ese exceso de humor, con gracietas forzadas que a mí poca gracia me hacen... Por lo demás la he disfrutado más que la primera vez que la vi.

good but not as the first.

This movie isn't worth watching.

loading replies

A movie as good as the CGI of Colossus.

loading replies

Best superhero movie after Deadpool 1. On a side note: voting Domino for the best superhero of decade.

loading replies

Fucking hilarious. I really enjoyed it.
I just hope we get a third part.
There's a lot of mess that Wade did on the last minutes.

loading replies

Was better than Green Lantern

loading replies

Overall I liked the movie, but I thought the first one had a tighter script. It was simple, but well-written. Here the plot was a bit of a mess and there were some scenes which felt like they were wasting time. And no matter how many times you put in a 'lazy writing' joke, it's not going to make the writing not lazy.

Still, overall it was a good movie. Not as good as the first, but it was a fun ride and I LOVED Cable (he was a bit underused though) and Domino. I hope we see them again.

loading replies

So...what can I say...

Deadpool 2 is a mishmash of utter stupidity, inane humour, and over-the-top, gore-filled, R-rated action...and I liked it.

This is by no means a perfect movie, and to be honest, I liked the first one a tiny bit better. This has more jokes, but some felt a bit too forced, and I ended up laughing a bit less than when I watched the first one.

...and the sappy, sentimental stuff have to go...seriously.

The casting was good, and Reynolds was, of course, pretty much dead on when it came to the Deadpool character. Though the script they had to work with was rather mediocre, and that showed. Too much improv CAN be a bad thing yah know.

So...if you like the first one, Deadpool 2 is certainly a good time. I just wish they spent a bit more time writing it. But...I'm certain it will be a third instalment, so they have a chance to redeem themselves.

A solid, hilarious movie that was very enjoyable to watch, however, nothing can beat the original Deadpool. The only problem I had was that I felt the plot was a little all over the place this time, and I didn't find one of the main characters, Russell, that enjoyable to watch half of the time. Still an amazingly funny movie, and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Don't forget to stay for the end credits for an amazing surprise

If there was something good or enjoyable about this film I missed it.

After watching the first one, I was prepared for anything, but I definitely wasn't prepared for Deadpool wearing Crocs™.

Not quite at the same level as the first one (the surprise and originality factors are obviously gone) but, for a sequel (and we all know how sequels can be dreadful), it delivers more of the same rather nicely, without a hint of disappointment.

Edit: I've recently rewatched the first movie and I noticed Deadpool already wears Crocs™ in that one. I guess the horror of it was too much for me to handle that I just buried that scene deep in a forgotten corner of my mind.

The first movie was fresh since it hadn't been done before. This one doesn't benefit from that designation. I found the second act particularly dull. Promising new characters Cable and Domino were sadly underutilized so I think it was thud more that a cheer from me. Maximum effort did not gain maximum effect. 6/10

Well number one has nothing on It's sequel because everything that number one has, It's sequel does better! It's to die for! It really is good to be alive!

Deadpool 2

I enjoyed my time with this movie, but that doesn't mean it's without issues.
I laughed a lot, but the jokes fell flat almost as much.
The plot and pacing was disjointed and tonally inconsistent.
Action was good, but the CGI wasn't great.

An excellent and entertaining movie.

However, I went in with the impression it would have the same unconventional, 4th wall breaking humor as the first. That isn't what we get this time around. It felt like all the original jokes were used in the trailer, and everything else was normal. Maybe I was just spoiled with the first one, which is not a bad problem to have.

The post-credits scene has the best parts of the movie, which is great but also sad.

I highly recommend this film, just don't have too high of expectations when compared to the first Deadpool.

Almost killed A. Hitler goddammit Wade grow some bigger balls next time you have the chance.

But in all seriousness, the jokes were amazing imo so why not give it a go? While the plot was a little lackluster, that's not what you came here for. Watching Wade beat up the bad guys while some upbeat music is playing in the background totally makes up for it and makes this movie worth watching. And the humor of course, because you should laugh at least once when watching this movie. Otherwise, I have some bad news for you, my friend.

This Movie Is Overrated Horrible Story and Directing.. Very Bad Pace for the movie I expected better from the first film.. Pretty Same Results

First of, this is a gem of a movie. I laughed all the way through. It isn't a masterpiece but it is an excellent film. Love this humour, the characters and action. the plot is there also showing a growing Deadpool. literally! It is difficult to followup a clever and entertaining movie as the first but they did it. My advice, wait till the very end of the credits. It's worth it.

better than the first, but the first was never that good to begin with, so thats not really saying much. Deadpool was his usual self, spouting profanity and sexual innuendo every chance he got, which got a bit tiresome after a while. at this point, it just seems as if they lace these movies with profanity and innuendo just to see how much they can get away with, and when you consider that the Deadpool comics are nowhere near this bad, why do it at all? is it because the profanity and innuendo is the only thing that makes him interesting to his fans and without it he is one dimensional and boring? was it a good movie? yes, but just like the original, it was nothing mind blowing or memorable when the credits started to roll

loading replies

Second Best Movie Ever. After Deadpool of course. Saw it last night and organising a bigger expedition of mates to go again

More of the same only better and with more depth than the first round the mouthy merc served up to us. Am not going to say much more - don't want to give too much away - but if you're a fan, you will have a brilliant time. Stick around through the credits for a VERY satisfying conclusion.

even better than the first, this movie manages to be heart wrenching and hilarious at the same time

loading replies

As well-made as the first movie was, I think I enjoyed this one a little more. More of the jokes landed for me, plus the emotional core was really genuine and meaningful. It helped humanize Deadpool.

There were some weird editing choices, and while the action in the opening scene was kind of boring, it more than makes up for it later on.

DEADPOOL DOING DEADPOOL THINGS, the second film

The merc with a mouth is back looking for trouble in Deadpool 2. When a time-traveler from the future named Cable attempts to kill a young boy before he can become a supervillain Deadpool puts together a team to save the boy and prevent the events that turn him into a villain. Josh Brolin give a pretty solid performance as Cable and Zazie Beetz has great comedic chemistry with Ryan Reynolds; providing some fun witty banter. However, a lot of the comedy is hit-and-miss; breaking the fourth walls a bit too much and pushing the crassness and vulgarity. And the anti-religious message (‘cause of course the Church is the real villain) is rather heavy-handed. It’s not as good as the first film, but Deadpool 2 delivers some laughs and is action-packed.

loading replies

Hilarious and crazy action. The irony is great, especially in the death scene . I loved the references to diverse movies.

loading replies

The best part of the movie is Cable. Josh Brolin executes his characters very well. He was an excellent Thanos and is an excellent Cable.

loading replies

Bigger scope, longer runtime, bigger budget, bigger cast... But not better.

The first 30 mins are in keeping with what you want from a sequel. The middle hour though goes way off the rails with a chaotic script and poor plot line - all to set up a somewhat predictable finale.

I don't want to say it but I think Ryan Reynolds is the problem with the chaos. Too many one-liners and quips are jammed in. And the majority land but the minority don't and should have been left out to calm the volume of the script down.

There is a lot of humour in here but this time it feels forced and a little tired.

I prefer the first despite its issues and lacklustre ending because it was original. This one just tries to give you a headache.

7/10

Comedy? 10/10. The plot? mediocre. 5/10. Looking forward to part 3, maybe the plot will be better.

Marvel's merc with a mouth is back to spread teabags, gunsmoke and enchiladas throughout the extended X-Men universe. This time he's brought friends, with the grizzled super-soldier Cable arriving from the future and luck-generating sidekick Domino answering a classified ad. It's a fun time, light-heartedly profane in the same vein as the original, if not half as unconventionally creative.

With the enlarged budget and heightened expectations, not to mention the change in director, far more of the laughs feel forced and manufactured. If the first spent 90% of its time in the character's wheelhouse, the sequel goes for something closer to 25%, and a majority of that is in the second act. Ryan Reynolds remains a picture-perfect casting choice, I loved his contrast with Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz is a spunky, welcome addition as Domino, but the plot structure feels too tame and the jokes more restrained. Rather than doubling down, we've lightened up and settled for a handful of throwbacks to what worked last time. It feels like some of the rough edges have been smoothed out, and that unsightful grit is a big part of what makes the character operate.

loading replies

This irreverent superhero movie allows to acquire prominence to a few secondary Marvel characters

loading replies

This is the third time I’ve seen this now and the first time I’ve even registered the ‘plot’.
Much as I love the Deadpool character and his foul-mouthed, ultra-violent 4th-wall-breaking escapades, Deadpool 2 feels more like a loosely-connected collection of sketches where either he or one of the X Force members gets to look cool.

loading replies

This is BS I can't watch my Kodi and you want me to pay even though i got an acct with your sight??? Really!

loading replies

Ryan Reynolds is perfect but I don’t care for the style of Deadpool. I find any movie that has a do over for an ending to be disappointing.

loading replies

DeadPool 1 was absolutely amazing, so funny and entertaining that i had high hopes for the sequel. Well i wasn't that disappointment. Sure it does not get near the first but the action scenes are gore and funny one, a lot of jokes and messes with DC and real characters (ryan reynolds as himself) and i can say that 2 hours and 11 minutes are well done and very watchable without boring me a bit. Again very funny and i like the story and the so called villain.

I’m very split on Deadpool 2. Some elements of this film is very unexpected and others are painfully predictable. I really liked certain decisions towards the middle of the film regarding Dennison’s character Russell and Brolin’s Cable. Reynolds is again perfect for his role and again this is a very funny movie for the most part. There are a few times where the film takes the obvious joke and doesn’t let serious moments lie for as long as it should, which is an issue I had with the original. As I said up top this film can be way to predictable, this usually isn’t too much of an issue but the film appears to frame it’s self as completely unexpected based on a small handful of moments that on the long run don’t have much of an impact on the film as a whole. All action scenes are shot extremely well, which is to be expected as the director is one of the guys behind John Wick. It’s an unpopular opinion right now but I this wasn’t as funny or as focused as the original and it didn’t leave much of an impression on me.

I delayed watching this movie because a hating ass friend of mine told me the sequel wasn't as good or funny as the first one.

This movie was so funny that I had to watch it three times. So many one liners!

I was dying when Cable told Deadpool that he reminded him of his wife (while applying lipbalm) that scene was hilarious.

And good for Celine Dion! She's finding ways of staying relevant! The song's great and the end of the music video is hilarious.

Vanessa's death sure caught me off guard. I didn't expect a movie with Deadpool in it to have deaths other than the bad guys. I feel bad for Wade. Colossus is being a shithead once again. Firefist is freaking hilarious. Both fight scenes between Wade and Cable was pretty good. Especially the second one. Rest in pieces, X-Force, except Domino. You'll be remembered for absolutely nothing. Who would've thought Wade Wilson/Deadpool's death would actually be so sad? Overall, this movie was decent. The first one was much better, obviously.

Disclaimer:  I tend to lean toward indie movies and rarely watch Hollywood blockbusters in general and comic book movies in particular.  As many have pointed out this film was filled to the brim with one liners - some good, some not so good.  Is it corny at times?  Sure is.   Plot?  Not much of it. But you know what? I found myself smiling through the entire movie.  And I laughed hard and often.
