It may not be the best horror movie but the story line and pacing was very solid, the CGI could've been better but the use of the lightning was stunning!
I played the game longer than a year ago and loved it. For obvious reasons, the game is far more immersive. I would recommend to not watch this movie and rather play it.
Less of a ghost story and more of an intense journey into the secret Chambers of the heart. This movie hit all the right notes!

Well-made, heavy hitting in terms of emotions, and brings up an important history. This is a blend of historical drama and psychological horror, set in Taiwan during the White Terror. Leaning more towards the drama aspect, the film hits heavy emotionally and makes you really feel for the characters, thanks to the source material which is a horror in and of itself, and terrific performances from the cast. Visually, this film looks fantastic and creepy. Even if it leans more on the drama side than horror, it manages to sustain an air of uneasiness throughout. The pace at which the story unfolds and the non linear narrative makes it a much more compelling watch.
