Sometimes small things can have a much bigger impact on our lives, sometimes a little joke can be deadly, sometimes we think that we are doing good to other people while we're only doing good to ourselves, sometimes we can be so ignorant on the people around us, people we love..
We currently live in a world where everyone is connected to the internet and where everything you say and do on the internet stays in one way or another forever online.
While most people see it as an convenience and a wonderful tool to stay connected to friends, family or work, there are certain ways in which being always connected online and having your information seen by anyone who wants it can be a nightmare.
From what i saw in the trailer this movie touches exactly that topic. How can posting something innocent at the time turn into a hellish nightmare? Or why is it that even though there are more ways to connect to someone than there have ever been before the internet people are more isolated because of it than ever? Or how can having your information available for anyone to see turn your life upside down when criminals use that information?
Through a few storylines that interweave and connect to each other in various ways those questions will hopefully not be fully answered, but instead i hope they will be told from each an unique perspective that tells both the upside and the downside of internet.
Anyway, this is one of those movies you should keep an eye on. Its the first movie for both the director and screenplay writer, but the cast is excellent. It wouldn't surprise me if this movie because of its story turned out to be a huge success. I added to my watchlist and i urge everyone who spends way too much time online to do the same ;)
Yes, people should watch movies like this. But not everyone. This shall be an educational movie for those who often forgot to think twice while doing things. People are missing information literacy and computer literacy and it is the same like driving a car without driving license and without knowledge of traffic laws, signs, etc. For the minority (there are 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary and those who don't) this movie is too long, boring, sometimes irritating with some details, even though it has a great cast.
So if you are aware of clickjacking, phishing and power of information save your time and better watch Searching (2018).

The film was great until it chicken'd out at the parallel stand-offs, resolving them in the most anti-climactic manner possible.
If you're gonna telegraph a bunch of tragic ends (with the help of super slo-mo, no less), then fully commit to it.
Morale of the story, we live in a cruel world.
Hope that Ben Boyd woke up after the end... Watching him trying to take his own life it was like feeling a taste of his pain. I relate to him, and I felt extremely depressed for what happened.

Powerfull movie must watch for our genre and for everyone living in 2018..Internet can be very harmfull..
Storyline was just amazing and kid's perfomances absolutely great i enjoyed every minute from this movie until the unique ending scene! Watch it please ;) 8.7/10!
Very good movie. The first 20 minutes or so dragged for me, but after a certain point it gets a lot better.

what makes it so special is reality ,we live in an open world where every thing u need comes to u wherever u are by technology ,this is the only advantage of it . and it's a big one
But if we don't use it the way it supposed to be used it's gonna stab us on the back , and that is what the movie is about .
I really loved the way they merged different stories of different people with problems caused by the same reason "the THE INTERNET "

Powerful and emotionally intense film about the dangers of the Internet. Tells three different stories, all three are linked in some way and all seem very real and totally believable.
Great acting from all the cast.
This is a film about how the Internet changed the world and it can show us how we are more and more "disconnected" from the real world. I think it's an important film to bring up the fact that today's society is constantly obsessed with technology and we need to change that a little and connect more with each other.

I've always had a thing for movies that weave stories into one another and this one did not disappoint. The title and poster for this film are vague and I'm glad its that way. It makes it so you have no idea what you are about to watch but trust me that is a good thing. The cast in this is great and they all play believable characters. The director Henry Alex Rubin's first feature film (non-documentary) is a suspense thrill ride that will have you wondering what is going to happen next. I do highly recommend this film to anyone, especially if you enjoy movies like "Crash".
