Don't think twice...about ignoring this lazy string of cliches and tired tropes.
Probably not worth opening your door to this feeble effort. Not scary and no real surprises.
good story...horror,fantasy,little mistery and thriller together not bad for midnight time lol
The reviews here are pretty negative to say the least, but I have to be honest I got into it straight away and really enjoyed the movie. It creates a creepy atmosphere and I really like music score in this. It has not the biggest budget but nonetheless the actors were all solid to good. And yes the story has been done to death, but it's the delivery that impresses me more then anything - very solid movie for me. Katee Sackhoff is also very good. If you dont expect gore in here but value atmospheric movies, then give this a try.
Some good aspects, but overall a crappy movie and of course, Don't Watch Twice.
"Don't knock twice" is not scary, just very boring. That's it.
On occasion, you decide to take a risk and watch something you know nothing about. Sometimes you get to be pleasantly surprised, but it doesn't happen very often as these are usually the exception to the rule. "Don't Knock Twice" has failed to surprise me in every way. It tells the story of a woman trying to reconnect with her estranged daughter, who is being haunted by an evil spirit or entity. Now, I can understand that most horror movies suffer from budget constraints and I have no problem with that. However, this is no excuse for bad writing, crappy dialogue and even worse acting. The editing looks like it was done with a meat cleaver and this doesn't help the poorly constructed narrative at all. There is also little to no chemistry between these characters, which makes you care even less about what happens to them. And even though there are a couple of good sequences that build up tension and make you feel uneasy, these are either lost or foiled by a jump scare. The ending itself feels about as flat as the rest of the movie, so I sincerely doubt you'll be knocking on this door for a second time.
Chessy acting, bad story, and crap ending, but it wasn't boring, I sure knocked on the door for more. One of them films where the best parts were in the trailer.

There were some aspects of this movie that could have had potential, if executed correctly. But it wasn't. Awkward comedic moments, terrible pacing, and confusing plot. Oh, and that awful ending.
