L'Eclisse 1962

A true gem of cinema embodying a golden age that seems sometimes really far away, but with a hint of criticism of an issue typical of our time as well: materialism... Monica Vitti is the most charismatic Roman woman ever, facing an excellent Alain Delon in this beautiful and poetic tale expanding in a particularly striking - as well as realistic - manner on the complexity of love. A movie that will seem sometimes difficult to grasp for casual moviegoers but which will certainly be to the taste of the cinema aficionados who really want to see and look for the Art in cinema. Photography and symbolism on their own, as well as the acting of course, make it a masterpiece. The story and the ending are also particularly haunting and will leave anyone in a deep state of thought and reflexion, on love and society.
