Like a dollar store model, ask the pieces are there but the glue doesn't hold.
The premise is interesting: a radical feminist glues two politicians together (penis to butt cheeks) in a sex club called the IMF. The men, one a member of the ecologist party and the other a conservative who labels himself an extreme centrist, find themselves forced to compromise more that they're stuck together.
Everything is there to make this work. The two leads are among the funniest actors in France at the moment, the directors (Benoît Delépine & Gustave de Kervern from I Feel Good and Delete History) have a good track record and the idea is so crazy it just might work. And yet...
As there's no narrative arc to pull the story along, the film ends up being more of a Saturday Night Live episode where some of the sketches are funnier than others and the political satire doesn't have enough of a bite to leave a mark.
Let's hope next time the glue is a little stronger.
