Executive Action 1973

A boon for conspiracy theorists, this film burns slow, meanders in places, and doesn’t do much to characterize the conspirators as more than conservative, anxious men with the money and means to make this happen. That said, the film pulls the right levers to keep you engrossed to the end. Actual news footage gives weight to the proceedings, and the music by a young Randy Glenside is suitably eerie and ironically patriotic. If you’re into 70s conspiracy flicks, this is a good first stop (although not the best one on the tour).
