A failed prank interferes with a bank robbery. Fall Time has several good moments, but there are also many weird details that weigh it down to the point that I would never want to watch it again. The movie starts with our trio of boys: Tim, David, and Joe. We get a quick glimpse of their youth, trouble is it doesn't lead anywhere. I was expecting this all to tie in, but it doesn't. I was expecting some depth, some emotion, it just never transpired. The acting is all stellar here, with the award going to Stephen Baldwin - no joke. Ultimately, the only reason I wanted to watch this was for Sheryl Lee, and tragically she was the biggest problem - not Sheryl herself, of course, she was fantastic, like always. She plays the part of Patty... or is it Carol? I didn't understand what she was doing there. Maybe I missed a line of dialog, but she just pops up, and in two of her scenes I had to ask "what is she doing and why is she doing it? Don't stop, but tell me what's going on." So, yeah, a bit of a convoluted mess here. The core of the movie is great, but if you don't know how to land the plane, it doesn't matter how good the flight was. Fans of Reservoir Dogs (1992) might enjoy this, but seeing as how I would fall into that category, just proceed with caution. Sheryl Lee fans: just watch it; she's gorgeous.
