Final Destination 2000

The movie lost its uniqueness as every death seemed more ubsurd then the last.. Clearly God wanted to see these teenagers die in the most gruesome ways imaginable

Everything is trying to kill you: The movie

All the kills are unique and a lot of fun for a horror movie. The first half is a little slow but once they start getting picked off it's great.

I love thinking about freakish death scenarios like in the films, probably because I consider myself a very careful person, and it's nice to know the possibilities upfront before they happen. That's why it's good to have common sense!

Not so bad but a little bit weird watching it after so many years never remember as i watched it as a kid that in some scene a black creature ( Death ) reflects in some objects.

A high school boy saves the lives of six classmates / faculty, so they're all really pissed off at him (!?). Then they get even more disgusted while he runs around trying to save them, along with ingenue Ali Larter's crop top character whose name is (not kidding) 'Clear', Clear River. Honestly, what's not to love?

Seriously, though, the plot is original and the deaths even more so when we're talking mainstream horror franchises, Final Destination (along with Saw) is one of my favorites.

What's with the weird dubbing?

Hell yeah! Ali Larter.

Ffs! Chad Donella...

Honestly this one is so good. I already love the sequel.

"In death there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes."

Early 2000's horror is something I do treasure in my heart. The way everyone dresses, the music.. it's great. I like the concept of this as well: You cheat death so now it's coming for you, and keeps you guessing what awkward way you're going to die.

7.5/10
So Good
Aged better than
I thought it had
After 20+ years
the way they set up the
deaths is just Sensational
and the thought behind how
it all plays out to take out
it's intended targets is just
amazing,
and although the first
act was a little slow
Once shit goes south
it becomes the enjoyable
Unique movie I remember
It to be right from day one.
Just like the
Blair Witch,Scream,Saw
Final Destination
'changed the plan' of
the Horror movie genre
for generations to come,
(Final Destination 6
is in post production).

An inventive slasher film in disguise.

It’s decent enough to be an easy watch, although I could never figure out how it was popular enough to warrant 4 sequels. I guess this was the watch for inventive kills before the Saw series took over that arena.

WAY more entertaining than i expected

This movie is the strongest of the series that I can remember. Absolutely love it. Features a different approach to Horror movies that you don’t see, especially for the time that it came out.

i don't know if it didn't age well or what but this felt really tedious to watch. i mean, watching the old i know what you did last summer movies had a little of that but the movies were still entertaining. this one i just kept looking to see when it would be over.

Not a horror movie, thriller movie sure but the only horrific thing about FD are the deaths which seems to be all you need to make this movie or any of the others. Much like Saw does later on, if someone can think of new unique ways to kill a group of people individually, then a movie can be made. Good movie, good enough to continue with the sequels.

A little fun, a little boring, a LOT far-fetched. You don't cheat death, you don't "death-proof" a cabin (or anything else, for that matter). The acting was decent, the deaths were "okay"...I mean, death can happen in an innumerable amount of ways that don't call for 273 things to all happen at "just the right moment, in just the right sequence". The "death" scenes made for great watching, in a sick, twisted kind of "MouseTrap" game (someone obviously had a bit of a demented mind to plan out all these sequences and their effects) but honestly, the whole concept of death being strictly the result of "being in the right place at the right time", meh.... In spite of its lack of authenticity, I enjoyed it; the fact that it's a relatively short movie (somewhere around the 90-minute mark) makes it even better. And I enjoyed it enough to watch the rest of the entire franchise just to see what other ideas they can come up with. LOL Maybe mine is one of those demented minds... :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This was a very interesting horror film. The concept was original and the story was very good. Definitely a film I would watch again.

"In death there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes." - Bludworth

Final Destination has a fun and kind of creative story with death won't be cheated and it will kill you eventually. Death here has some nice ways to make said kills too.

So, long story short; Alex (Devon Sawa) had a premonition of how the plane he and his class are about to get on will crash. He gets off, along side some other students and a teacher. One by one they are being killed off by death in the order they were suppose to die. So, the rest of the movie we see them trying to cheat death again.

I liked the cast and the movie is entertaining, it's perfectly set up to be a franchise, just make a great opening accident that people survive, follow it up with great original deaths and voila!

Final Destination is certainly worth a watch!

Ps. Now I'm curious how this one would've played out with Scully and Mulder!

the idea was unique ...but in this movie the death seems like it is actually a ghost or something ...at the last point it was just so ridiculous but i enjoyed it anyway... it was a good watch .. I had fun with this movie

Over the top horror-becomes-comedy with inventive death scenes. Final Destination started one of my favorite film franchises. The first death features what almost seems like an intelligent and sentient supernatural being intent on killing the teens. The subsequent deaths feature less of this though there are still small bits where it could be possible heard "screaming" or even seen in a blurry reflection. Luckily they did away with this concept entirely in the sequels.

I Will do they same as Octavio Ferreira and i Will give my opinion in my original lenguage, maybe some latín people read this, siempre eh amado esta película, es ilógica, es demasiado exagerada y demasiado irreal, y es eso lo que le da ese toque, lo que lo hace tan entretenida y disfrutable, es una propuesta que brindó algo nuevo en una época en la que el cine de terror estaba en declive, por eso es una obra de culto.

One of the best horror movies because it features a new / unique take on the "You Are All Gonna Die" idea... The 2 sequels are just horrible but this 1st part of the series is really enjoyable!
