Fistful of Vengeance 2022

pretty good fight scenes. definitely a situation where they couldn't get enough internal support for a 2nd season, but the fans wanted more, so they crammed as much as they could into a movie.

Don't waste your time on this, watch something else.
Poor acting, directing sometimes fights are left in the original slow movement lol

This is a let down for me. The action scenes is a big downgrade from the series. The fight scenes looks so choreograph that it seems that they are dancing and not really fighting.

:heart:x6
If you like back-to-back long martial arts action scenes then this is for you. Yes, there are a lot of fun fights. But, is that enough?

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

It's really hard to make a good movie. All the pieces have to fall into place. This movie feels off! the choreography, the acting, the soundtrack... Even the "Gods" are off. There are far better Iko Uwais movies. Watch those!

Excellent sequel to the 1st movie! Non-stop action and still love the interactions between the 3 friends.

Fistful of Vengeance is as corny as they come, and then some. To be honest, I have no idea what this movie was about. I guess you have to have watched a show called Wu Assassins to understand what the hell is going on, but that didn't stop me from enjoying some of the fights. I just wish they would have hired a better fight choreographer, because I KNOW Iko Uwais can be better than what you get to see in Fistful of Vengeance.

This ended up being not for me. I might have liked it a bit better if I had seen the series, but as it stands, I didn't care one iota about any of the characters...except maybe Pearl Thusi's Zama (She was hot as hell), and all the fighting talent could have been utilized better.

Anyway...my recommendation would be to try the series, then decide if you want to see this one.

Some reasonable fight scenes (some very stupid fight scenes with awful wire work) tied together with an indecipherable Asian mysticism. All very slick, full of cool beautiful people, nicely placed blood stains and appropriate music, but it seems to be missing the spark that movies need to bring it all together.

It wasn't until after reading the comments here that I realised it was tied to an earlier series Wu Assassins (https://trakt.tv/shows/wu-assassins) - which I had completely forgotten about. If I had realised that, I wouldn't have bothered watching this at all
