Scary. I visited Glacier in 1988. I was on a path, by myself. I saw a temporary sign that said Warning, Bear sighting with that day's date and a couple hours earlier. So that was frightening. I walk farther, it's a loop path and I come upon a baseball cap, laying on the path. Not farther I see an unarmed ranger who glanced at me worriedly and scurried up the trail, I followed right behind. Didn't see a grizzly until we got to Denali.
