This one is really more of a heartwarming 50's Hollywood Western rather than the typical gritty, revenge-laden, Spaghetti Western. A Trick Shooter appears to be heroic, but is revealed to be a coward, due to some childhood trauma. Only the relentless attention of a boy, who is in fact being attacked by bandits, brings our hero out of his funk. Some really wierd shoot-outs featuring circus performers.
A reviewer (bunuel1976) on IMDB mentioned that the title could have been translated as "The Gunman Marked by God" - The mark referring to a scar on the pistolero's neck, which triggers his Post-Traumatic Stress.
