Malcolm McDowell is clearly killed in the theatrical version of the first film. While Michael Myers gets his brains blown out in that version too. So this sequel probably shouldn't exist.
Apparently though it's a sequel to the version I saw on DVD where McDowell survives and Michael is just shot by cops many times; Halloween 4 style. Which is a bit confusing. Tyler Mane's Myers is still a bad ass giant of a man with a very scary mask.
That's about all I can say nice about the Zombie Myers films. Other than that they are overstuffed with too many random kills. While I guess there's a subplot about family values between all the brutal violence in both films.
This movie was so bad, I didn't find even one aspect of the movie as good. Of course there are a few moments that actually work as horror but all the other parts of the movie ruin your experience.
The movie stars so bad (soooooooo fucking bad), especially the overused makeup, and then you realize it's a nightmare. But you don't know if it really happend two years ago or it just pure imagination (if you consider the original franchise you can guess it was lurie's imagination but Rob Zombie changed a lot of information about the story throughout the whole story, so you still know nothing).
You know I can overoverlook Rob Zombie not taking what happened at the original franchise as facts, but I can't overlook when he just ignores what happened in the previous film in the new franchise (it happened also in the original franchise but at the original franchise every movie was directed by another director and not by the fucking same).
The previous movie in the new franchise was very good and interesting to new viewers and old viewers both because it didn't change anything about the story, it just added information and it didn't base on another movie+changes. Also the amazing theme song that Jon Carpenter wrote so perfectly wasn't used in the this movie.
Now let's talk about Michael, both in the original franchise and in the previous movie in the new franchise adult Michael Myers has never walked with out a mask intentionally, also in the previous movie from the new franchise Michael used homemade masks and there's no explanation why he uses (the one time he actually wears a mask) the old mask from mask from the original franchise. Oh and also why the fuck did Rob Zombie make Michael look like a hobo?
I assually don't write comments to movies but this movie was so bad and he enoyed me so much that I had too, by the way it's the only movie so far that I rated as one out of ten.
