While there is a very mild sci-fi backdrop to this film it shouldn't interfere with the point of the story. Like so many other movies this one deals with all of the conflicts that can get in the way with people falling in love. The movie is extremely well-cast in that the leads both do an excellent job creating sympathetic characters. Overall it is a fun watch even though I spent too much time thinking about the sci-fi angle.
