Part of my 2022 Comedy Thursdays
I'm not usually a guy that is sensitive to “outdated” concepts in movies. I typically take the movie as a representation of the time it was made, and that's that. Hardbodies is one of those movies you actually have to look past some stuff to enjoy. The fact that you are watching three middle-aged sleazeballs renting a house on the beach to pick up young women is something that might be hard to swallow for some.
If you can get past that, there is a fun little comedy hiding behind it, and since the biggest creep gets his comeuppance at the end, it's easier to like. You will of course get a lot of nudity, as per usual in 80s sex comedies, but I suspect most people who want to watch this knows that.
Hardbodies is not a great movie by anyone's standard, but it has a certain charm to it that is hard to ignore,

Incredibly trashy. It's just empty exploitation. No real arc or development. Not even any real laughs. It was nice to see the protagonist have a real relationship though... rare for this kind of movie.
