its been years since i watched the original Hatchet so i can,t believe its taken me this long to watch the follow up. more of the same, which is not a bad thing and the kills are not only inventive but so over the top that the excessive blood is comical rather than gross. part 3 next for me
Slightly more watchable than the first, but that isn't saying much.
Much better than the 1st one. More kills, more gore, more action and you also learn of the back story to Victor Crowley. The whole film is much more fun than the first one.
So bad i just forwarding to the kills and they are also cheap/bad xD.
One of the worst horror movies ever made.
This is a fun follow-up to the first Hatchet comedy-horror movie. Lots more fun kills. Belt sander kills are still never not fun.
Hatchet II starts off with a bang, if you see someone getting decapitated with his own intestines, you know you are in for some bloody stuff. After the incredible opening they let you cool off with some new backstory stuff on Victor Crowley, all wonderfully told by Tony Todd. That guy's voice is incredible right? You als realize that Danielle Harris replaced Tamara Feldman and she's downright horrible. Now you are just waiting for her to be killed.
Anyway Parry Shen now plays Shawn's brother Justin (Shawn got murdered in the first one) and he needs to round up some rednecks for Tony Todd because he has a plan. "yada yada yada". Eventually everyone goes looking for Crowley to kill him and claim the reward Reverend Zombie (Todd) will pay. After about 55 minutes after Crowley decapitated a guy, he shows up to go totally bonkers for the final 30 minutes.
Each kill is epic and more brutal than the last. You will learn so many ways that you can use a Hatchet that it is scary. Kane Hodder, who plays Victor Crowley, kills people in ways he never did in his decorated career. It is bloody, it is brutal and the way Tony Todd travels to the light, is fucking incredible. It is one of the most brutal kills I've ever seen. It might not be humanly possible but if looked straight outta Mortal Kombat.
Hatchet II is bloody with loads of gore and never takes itself seriously. We have many horror people show up in cameo's and it is lovely. I enjoyed it. It's an 80 minute gore-fest and it works. Adam Green set the bar so high for part III, I want more creative kills! How can Victor Crowley out-murder himself? I wonder!
Ps. Danielle Harris doesn't meet her bloody end :(
Very funny! Good movie for a party! :D

Drops in quality from the first but still enjoyable. The kills were good we didn't get any gators though. Loved that it picked up immediately after the first you get the feeling like you're watching the same movie. A strong ending once again!
