Good premise. Could have been much better if it wasn't for the endless attempts at comedy (which didn't work btw) and one of the most racist characters (even more than Breakfast at Tiffany's) I have ever seen (Lin Chu). I hope somebody considers doing a remake (without any of the problems mentioned above).
