That's a one weird movie. Great stuff, you should watch it.
An expansion of Neil Gaiman's short graphic novel, this is a delightful mix of punk rock and psychedelic sci-fi. I had a great time watching this, and recommend it to anybody looking for something a little (or a lot) different to the usual genre fare cluttering up our multiplexes. And while you may not need to read Gaiman's work before watching, you should still give it a go, as this head-scratcher will become a little clearer as you're watching.
How to Act Pretentious at Parties (And Make It Punk!!)
It is based on a Graphic Novel with the same name.
This pleased my brain in unexpected ways.
If you go in blind I can't imagine not having a blast.
Like a modern day punk ballad that's only somewhat of a sellout. My favourite part of this film is how it's reminiscent of 80s indie cinema (Dogs in Space, Repo Man, Arizona Dream...)

Toward the end, there were moments that dragged, however on the whole, this was an excellent film that definitely kept me gripped throughout. Both the punk music and the alien music was very catchy and quite moving at times. The dance sequences and acting was superb by all members of the cast. There were funny moment, and quite emotional moments. It might not be everybody's cuppa tea but I loved it.
