There is a constant justification on Tischa's part, as if the confidence she displays in confronting those who insult her in the streets of New York actually hides a deep vulnerability. It deals with topics such as transphobia, heteronormative femininity or failure, perhaps too quickly and the relationship between Tischa and Edward remains ambiguous, but it's a good reflection of courage.
