I love how self aware this movie is and how absurd everything is. The cast is great with just about everyone returning and the addition of Will Ferrell is awesome. I get why some people wouldn't like when they break the fourth wall but I found every time they did it hilarious.

With "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" director Kevin Smith has finally taken the meta route, with mixed results. There is hardly anything left that resembles a story framework. Furthermore, the film answers whether there can be such a thing as "too much" Jay and Silent Bob with a resounding yes. On top of that, it was way too silly for me. The humor worked only in a few places. The only thing that works quite well are the connections to the rest of the View Askewniverse. The cameos in this movie are already really great. It was also mostly the smaller guest appearances that made me laugh. In conclusion, I would say that "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is only for people who have seen Smith's first four films and not anyone else.

A movie of a specific time and place that was also ahead of it’s time with the whole shared universe thing. Still impressed with the cameos and the cast that Smith was able to pull together, Jay And Silent Bob are such a stretch to carry their own movie but we saw how worse it could get with Reboot. Gets an extra half star for the Good Will Hunting 2 scene alone.

"Don't fuck with the Jedi Master, son."

Adding this to another movie I wish I had seen when it came out! At first I was worried this movie was going to be boring because it starts off that way but by the end I was enjoying all the cameos and quotes. I can see how this had a big following and yeah it can be dumb, but it was great for that era.

THIS IS THE MOST FUNNIEST AND MOST HILARIOUS COMEDY EVER EVER MADE
BY FAR, AND IS DEFINITELY WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST WORK KEVIN HAS EVER EVER DONE. THIS ABSOLUTELY BLOWS HIS OTHER MOVIE'S STRAIGHT OUT THE WATER, THIS MOVIE IS TOTALLY
HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE ALL HIS OTHER'S AND NOT JUST A LITTLE BIT EITHER.
I HAVE TEARS OF JOY AND LAUGHTER FROM
THE VERY START TO THE LAST CREDITS ROLL
WITH THIS ONE. EVERYBODY IS SUPER FREAKING AWESOME AMAZING FANTASTIC IN IT AND EVERYBODY IS HAVING SUCH A FUN TIME AND WITH THAT SO DO WE. I LOVE THE FORTH WALL BREAKING AND THOSE HATING IT ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO LOVE AND FIND IT FUNNY WHEN
"DEADPOOL" DOE'S IT. SO WHAT'S THE FRICKING DIFFERENCE I ABSOLUTELY CAN'T GET ENOUGH
OF BOTH OF THEM DOING IT, IT'S HILARIOUS.
THIS IS A PERFECT MOVIE AND HAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER WISH FOR
IN IT, IT'S A STONERS WET DREAM FANTASY AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT 3000
WOW....JUST...WOW...
THIS IS PHENOMENAL
AGELESS AND CAN NEVER EVER BE TOPPED.

“A Jay and Silent Bob movie? Who’d pay to see that?” Kevin Smith ends his View Askiewverse film series by giving his signature characters their own film in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. When they learn that a movie is being made about their comic book characters, Jay and Silent Bob head off to Hollywood in order to stop the film from being made. The cast is pretty strong and includes Will Ferrell, Eliza Dushku, Shannon Elizabeth, and Ben Affleck, plus a number of actors from Smith’s other films make cameos. However, the script is awful and doesn’t know what to do with the characters. And the plot is chaotic, moving from gag to gag without much logic or reason. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a train wreck that does a huge disservice to the world that Kevin Smith has created.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a nice treat for fans of Kevin's Smith's View Askew universe. It is fairly funny and features a lot of characters that we have come to love in his other films. The movie is not as good as Clerks, Chasing Amy and Mallrats but there is something very nostalgic about it.
