Joshy 2016

One of my favorite indies of the year. Everything about Joshy feels very down to Earth and real. It deals with a very serious subject matter while bringing some fun into the mix and its just a good watch with several surprisingly great performances. The world needs a lot more Jenny Slate.

I came for Kroll — yet even he couldnt float whatever turd of a screenplay the hipster chudfarm trauma sharted this 2016 charred coyote dung out from. A solid 1.4 stars

"Joshy" is a very real, lowkey, just down to earth movie. My only problems with it are that the movie constantly feels awkward which isn't a negative of a movie but it kept me from being completely invested in the charcters and that the movie occasionally had something happen over the weekend that kinda wanted you to see how that certain thing would play out later but the movie never got back to it, but because of this movie feeling so different and down to earth and just being about a weekend and that's all it didn't bother me as much as it usually would also im convinced that Jenny Slate is a female version of Seth Rogen.

I've always been a fan of off-the-beaten-path indie movies and this definitely fits that bill. Very enjoyable.

Very enjoyable. Funny and poignant, with great writing and a wonderful ensemble cast.
