Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain 2013

Kevin Hart is a comedic genius, and this is a hell of show. It is one of the rare shows that I bought on Blu Ray and well worth it. So many great skits and fantastic footage, loved every moment of it, and if you are looking for a comedy show like no other then this would be it.

Not that funny. 20 Mins open was totally not needed. I came to laugh-not to see this stupid open.
Half of the time is stories that probably didn't happen-it would be better if it was about life.

Funny, but no where near as funny as Kevin Hart's earlier productions.

I really tried. We started it last night. After the ridiculously long intro, Hart's stand-up set finally started and… the person I was watching it with wasn't interested, so I stopped it and we moved to something else. This morning, I started it again. And… I wasn't getting any funny from it. I could tell that he and his audience in the stadium felt the funny, but none of it translated to me. Finally stopped about two-thirds of the way through the show, when it seemed like if I continued there seemed a greater chance of him offending me than making me laugh. I've liked Kevin Hart when I've seen him before. I don't know whether he's gotten better over the last seven years, or whether I like him better when he's not doing stand-up (i.e., being himself or when he's playing a character in something scripted), but… this one absolutely didn't do it for me. If I had had no clue who Kevin Hart was before I started watching this show, I would not have ended up interested in him whatsoever.
