There too damned much loud music even during scenes where there was dialogue but you could not understand what was being said,
At times a totally retarded B-movie. Totally unrealistic, absurd and chaotic story. Obvious plot. Still.... entertaining.
+1 for Statham.
7 out 10.
Everything about this movie screams a sort of open job application for Statham to become the next Bond.
this movie is bad. The plot absolutely makes no sense. Only sexy Jessica Alba's body makes it bearable.
Mechanic: Resurrection was bad and that shouldn't be surprising. I know this isn't suppose to be taken too seriously, but even when I turn off my brain, I still didn't like this. Even the action scenes didn't thrill me.
But the only positive thing that I can about "Resurrection" was that it's at least not as dark or serious as the Mechanic film, with this one being dumb fun.
there was scenes were i was WHAAT!!! kinda lame and stuff like when Bishop was escaping that Yacht and taking O2 it went blank and there he was in another city driving a car planning next mission!!!!!!!!!!!!!. but nonetheless i love JASON STATHAM and cuz of that i gave this movie a 7rating.
You see some nice action in the movie, but man, I have seen porn with better plots.
The action was non-stop so part of the film was great.
Solid action movie that checks all the boxes:
They put just enough into the plot but that was definitely the 4th or 5th priority.
Good action flick.
Another very beautiful film by Jason Statham
Watched this back to back with the first one. This is one had better action and even more absurdity (pool scene for example).
It's a fun, unbelievable ride. And, I mean unbelievable in the literal sense. ;-) He uses a rubber raft as a shield against a machine gun! I was LOLzin about that one.
Improves upon the first film, which is a rather impressive feat.
I felt thoroughly entertained throughout this. I do like Jason Statham films admittedly, sure he plays very similar roles each time but I find myself enjoying the vast majority of his work. 'Mechanic: Resurrection' is no different.
Statham is excellent as he reprises Bishop. I rate his performance, just like in 'The Mechanic'. I find what Bishop encounters in this film much more riveting than what happens in the 2011 production, it's class watching him go piece by piece; even if you have a fair idea what's going to happen.
The aforementioned lead is notably joined by Tommy Lee Jones (Adams), Jessica Alba (Gina) and Michelle Yeoh (Mei). The latter two are unfortunately pretty basic characters, but Jones is very good in his role - I love the look and behaviour of Adams, entirely thanks to the actor himself. Sam Hazeldine (Crain) isn't a great villain, mind... kinda dull in fact.
I always enjoy seeing films travel the world, as this visits numerous countries including Brazil, Malaysia, Australia and Bulgaria - it allows the story to feel global, as opposed to being limited to a random American state. I like the music, also.
This beats its predecessor, which I did enjoy by the way. I'm not saying it is anything incredible, or even one of Statham's best, but all I can state is that I had a fun time.
Ok...so me deciding to watch both movies back-to-back was not such a bad idea after all. Mechanic: Resurrection is better than the first one, no doubt about that.
The casting was better, the acting was better, and the story made me actually start to care about the characters. The action, however, is the same over-the-top Stateham nonsense that we all know and love...which is a good thing in this instance. It keeps you reminded of what kind of movie you are actually watching through the cringy "lovey-dovey" scenes...
It also helps that it stared some of the loveliest women on the planet. Jessica Alba and Michelle Yeoh are both very lovely and do a great job alongside "one face" Statham. We didn't see enough of Yeoh though...and no action badassery from her, which was annoying. Good old Tommy Lee Jones has a nice little role that suits him as well.
As you can see, I liked this one quite a bit more than the first one. Maybe going into it thinking it would royally suck was a good thing?!!!?
My advice is to forget about the first one entirely and just watch this one. Mechanic: Ressurection will for sure be worth it for fans of the Statham "genre" of movies.
It has some good moments, but for most of the time, this movie is so generic that hurts.
It's starting to feel a little creepy that all these young victims fall in love for Jason Statham...
And its not a spoiler if it happens in every movie.
The action is passable but the script is in dire need of a fix. There is no need to bring the mechanic back to life a third time.
The romantic plot and motivation feel really forced. They should have made Jessica Alba as Statham's long lost or past lover, but I guess they don't use that idea since Statham has been in movies with that plot for at least four times. Anyway, Alba's performance is terrible here too: in one scene she is an able fighter (as she is playing a former marine), but in the next scene she is a damsel in distress whose voice doesn't sound slightly distressed at all - she keeps pleading "Bishoopp!!" for help but in a rather monotonous, bored tone.
Unfortunately, even if we put aside the plot, the action - the big deal of this film - is barely satisfying. Especially as a Mechanic movie, it's not satisfying at all. Statham's action performance in Resurrection lacks the wit and tactical efficiency that makes The Mechanic great to watch. Statham is still shown as an able engineer to support his kills, but the action he's involved in give little to no room to employ such excellency. Except for the smart kill on the swimming pool, Resurrection is just a B-class action film with unlimited bullet spam, disposable henchmen, and weak main villain (by weak, I mean in terms of character writing, combat ability, and wit).
Boring movie, waste of time....
A bunch more of the same, only this time with a love interest. Pretty by the numbers action. Nothing noteworthy really.
The action is good. But this is purely an action movie. There is no good acting, and the plot is rather thin. These kind of movies are like that: mere excuses for action --- because there is no danger of the hero actually dying. I suppose it delivers in what it promises: clever action sequences well crafted. A minor annoyance: because the acting and the plot are so flat, the movie must compensate by artificially trying to create suspense and excitement --- and they think that camera unsteadiness creates this effect on the viewer. Fortunately the camera shakes are rather small --- and somewhat subtle --- though still noticeable.
I REALLY LIKED IT!!!!! coulda used a little more sc and, brief nudity but it was ok #ShiftvW8
Jason is a great actor with a great potential but no matter he does in this movie it just doesn't work. I would love to see some great action movie with Jason but unfortunately this ins't that one. Honestly I watched the movie only because of Jason and that's all. The movie is so cheap-looking it's better to watch Transporter again than this one. 5 stars rating is the maximum I can get and three of them is for Jason. I was looking forward to see a good movie but insted I got very disappointed :-( Too bad.
Jessica Alba! :)
Always nice to see her.
Movie was oké... bit hectic tho.
Never the less... good evening filler.
The movie is nice but unfortunately annoyingly unrealistic. I was sitting in a theater with a friend and we were banging our heads because there isn't a single time where Jason actually reloads his guns. Bad guys suddenly run out of ammo but Jason seem to have unlimited amount of ammo.
The minimum I would expect is a damn reload.
I asked Jason Statham fighting and shooting, Jessica Alba pretty and beautiful and I have given me, for my OK
very good this movies so good
Hey. I miss Jason Statham movies. Jam packed action movies like this should be made often.
The chest surgery Is evident in the scene where she wakes up on the bed.

This was a bad b-movie, nothing made sense chaotic story and really ridiculous situations. The dialogous was abysmal
