It's neat that this cartoon is available in it's theatrical 16x9 format on the Tex Avery's Droopy DVD set. It adds quite a bit to a slightly better than average short. Butch the bulldog is the focus here, not Droopy, but that's normally the case in the Droopy shorts.
This is one of the last of the Droopy cartoons and the animation style is different. It's not as smooth, lines are a bit "sharper" looking. One of the funny things to look for is how Butch's' legs are almost constantly moving when he's out of his racecar.
