It showed a side of Anna Frank that I never seen or heard about before. The movie made her look like she was a selfish attention seeking thief and a horrible friend. Hannah Goslar saw Anna as her best friend it almost felt like she was inlove or obsessed with Anna. Anna was her world and thought about her all the time, she stayed loyal to her till the end! This while Anna chose attention from boys and popularity above Hannah.
I don't know how accurate the portrayal of their relationship is... but they made Anne look like a selfish annoying brat, which was completely unnecessary.
