A fraternity, party, drugs, sex, weed, a married couple and a their baby plus Seth Rogen name involved sounded good to me but I am disappointed with this one. Neighbors seemed more promissing in the trailer. There's some hilarious moments that will actually make you laugh a lot but then there's "the" big problem with a lot of trailers, specially when it comes to comedy, the fact that sometimes the most hilarious parts are already spoiled in there. That happens with this film.
My major complaints are the inconsistency throughout the film. When its getting very good it quickly becomes careless. It's full of ups and downs. Some jokes were hilarious but others were completely dumb. Some dialogues were repetitive, the characters say the same things over and over again. And what about the other neighbors? They never complained about anything? Those guys were destroying things, had crazy parties and no sights of other people in the neighborhood?
Biggest surprise of the film, Zac Efron being a total asshole! He really shines playing the part very well and he definitely gives the best performance of the film! I like Seth Rogen, the guy always makes me laugh but I think he played this role for so many times! I think it's time to try something different other than the guy who likes weed. For example, I really liked to see him in Take This Waltz in such a different role, more dramatic. Don't get me wrong I love to see him doing comedy but it's time to let the weed behind! Rose Byrne is always very sweet, she was able to be very funny! She made a great team with Seth Rogen and despite what I thought both were great together!
Neighbors is also a film for cinephiles, by that I mean, there's a lot of movie references throughout. I caught myself being the only one laughing at the theater which is actually very bad, who means that most people didn't understand the jokes. I also wasn't expecting the depth and the amount of messages that the film wants to transmit and I liked that.
Overall, it wasn't great as I thought it would be but isn't also terrible. I enjoyed myself watching it. I would say it is an average comedy. Don't be afraid of watching it, I think despite the flaws you'll be able to have some fun.

This could be a really entertaining movie, love the cast!
Funny comedy. Nothing more nothing less. Worth a watch
zac efron is a very buff man
Funny Rewatchable movie with some lessons
I watched this because after watching Platonic on a whim and surprisingly enjoying my time with it, I wondered if perhaps I’ve grown into appreciating Seth Rogan’s movies. I have g. Rose Byrne IS good and shows the the comedic chops and charm that anchors Platonic, and Carmichael also killed in his minor role and got the most consistent laughs out of me, but Platonic’s more low key, and almost melancholic energy at times balanced out the loud, occasionally obnoxious humor. Being a television show allowed more attention to character and dynamics and that’s just not here. I enjoyed Rogan and Byrne much more as best friends than husband and wife here. It’s not terrible, there were a few pleasant chuckles, but they also did a ‘white guy says the n word’ joke twice, and three and a half rape jokes, and two gay jokes, so it’s like. Very of its time. Half star off for those. I can do with a more subdued, mature Rogan like he was in Platonic. This is not for me. I’m still going to watch the sequel though, because my brain is a terrible completionist.
It’s been far too long since I’ve watched this movie! I’m a sucker for Seth Rogan and all his films. I look forward to shutting off my brain and just enjoy the inappropriate humor that he incorporates with life situations! My favorite part of watching this is knowing there’s another that’s got the exact same concept and I can’t wait to get to it (again)!

Seth Rogen continues his comic tour of middle life, as a new father fighting the impending realization that youth culture has escaped him. The arrival of a party-all-hours fraternity in the vacant house next door hammers that point home, and when Rogen pulls the ultimate grown-up move (calling the cops at 4am) it quickly ignites an escalating game of one-upsmanship with the chapter president (Zac Efron).
It's the very definition of one-note, like a ninety minute sketch from SNL, but at least it plays that key admirably. Rogen's usual mix of snarky one-liners, aging stoner tropes and gross-out payoffs are spread thick like a jar of Jiffy, but it all still feels fresh enough and he gets a lot of help from Rose Byrne in a hilarious supporting role as his let's-throw-down spouse.
You'll get exactly what you expect to get, whether you appreciate the comic stylings or not - myself, I'd lean more to the former. Light, but wickedly funny; don't go looking for much depth, but why are you looking for that here anyway?
Funny movie, it's that kind of movie that you don't need to put much though on it. The little Walter White was awesome.
lol. I'm called Jarvis too! #ShiftvW8
Great plot and a hilarious movie. Not bad for a simple, easy watching comedy. The parenting part wasn't exaggerated and was totally relatable. There was just too much diversity in the story as to who its really targeting. Overall, not bad for a light solo laugh.
Totally disgusting. Don't waste your time. Seth Rogen, your movies just get more vulgar.
No, it's not for everyone... and exactly what it set out to be.
Es demasiado tonta.
Tiene uno que otro momento gracioso pero hasta ahí..
seth rogan... do i need to say more? this movie is so bad
Lo único potable de esta película son Zac Efron y Dave Franco. Bueno, y los airbags.
The decline of Seth Rogen.
The decline of Seth Rogen.
This movie isn't for the lame people.
He had his moments. But nothing special.
Worst movie ever! Don't waste your time!
its out on the ship people. go snag it.
Haha Seth rogen like always brings fun and laughter to the movies.
I enjoyed it alot
Teddy Sanders is a prick.
Definitely living up to its comedy classification, this movie is pretty funny with its mix of both hilarious and stupid moments. Surprisingly, some more meaningful aspects were thrown in as well, supported by a fun blend of wild frat life (good soundtrack!) and adult married existence. Quality acting, but the plot did remain quite repetitive and typical.
Is it just me or did the bad guys won?
I enjoyed it. Sure some things didnt add up in the end, but hey it was fun.
I'm not going to lie, some very good-looking actors won't make a pretty average movie good.
Formally Townies, now it's called Neighbors.

This had potential in the beginning but went downhill REALLY fast. Way too many penises that didn't add to the movie at all. There should have been more focus on the parenting aspect. The whole thing is completely unrealistic and it tries to connect with too many types of audiences.
