If you watch this with your ol'lady you probably get some booty after
I don't like romantic films as a genre, the types I do are quirky and different like Amelie. This was my second watch and it's a very sweet and touching film.
Best quote:
Look, other bands, they want to make it about sex or pain, but you know, The Beatles, they had it all figured out, okay? "I Want to Hold Your Hand." The first single. It's effing brilliant, right?... That's what everybody wants, Nicky. They don't want a twenty-four-hour hump sesh, they don't want to be married to you for a hundred years. They just want to hold your hand.
Beautiful Gen Y-esq love story. For those (like me) who cringe at "Rom-Coms", this is perfect for you.
Kat Dennings is so cute and sexy at the same time
Mid 2000's Michael Cera has always had a special place in my heart! Seeing him in a romantic comedy is naturally going to make me like the movie more than I would have otherwise! Not to mention the soundtrack is also rock solid!
Rating: 4/5 - 8.5/10 - Would Recommend
You don't need to overthink this, it's cheesy and corny but it's really nice too. That ending really makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
It's a good romantic comedy to watch. I freaking love Michael cera he's so cute
^_^

Very enjoyable take on the teen coming of age experience since this one takes place in one night. Nick and Norah have the same musical taste and are able to bridge that into what looks like a great relationship. Great filming all over New York and large selection of music are just a few aspects that are well done. Rising star Kat Dennings turns in a great performance here as Norah who on one hand demonstrates her matronly side in the way she constantly takes care of her friend Caroline yet also a little bit of recklessness in her handling of the Yugo and dating of Tal. You can't help but root for her character and feel happy for her when she finally gets there in the music studio.
