I really liked this a lot. What a surprise, started watching thinking this would be another dumb survival movie and then my eyes were glued to the screen.
This girl is like the daughter of bear grylls with 10x more crafting knowledge. The English synchronization is awful. Total waste of my time
did i waste 2hrs? yes.
Indeed, this movie goes nowhere.
Great movie really clever and engaging i definitely recommend it
Once you get past the Metal container not sinking and cell service in the middle of the ocean, few other things. It was a not a total waste of an hour and 45 minutes. I found it reasonably entertaining enough.
Too many stupid ideas there. Waste of the time
Physically absurd, too much drama and intense music.
Not my typical movie, I tend to avoid them but after seeing a few friends rave about this movie on social media, I decided to give it a try. I thought it wasn’t too bad. A couple scenes I couldn’t watch but overall entertaining. Excellent acting by Mia :raised_hands:
settled in one place whole movie too much drama and somehow fake. Nico should die much more earlier from logic. also is hard from holes to hold any tape comparing to my window net hole. and one hole little is important from water to come in. Also battery from phone cant stand long that much. Many disturb scenes, thats not art thats morbid. iritating overall
isn't grilled fish tastier than eating it raw? she has fire..
“kill yourself already”
- god to this woman at every turn
I actually liked this one..Even my Kids sat and watched it with me..They was into it for sure..We all enjoyed this Movie.
This movie was amazing! The fact that she makes use of everything she’s got. Love survival films
[Netflix] A film that has little to contribute to the survival subgenre, and even less to the shipwreck on the high seas sub-subgenre. But the worst thing is that it builds a society at war about which it also has nothing to say, around a protagonist who has no interest. What remains then is the contribution of a surviving mother who fights to keep her baby alive, in a boring and long story, so conventional that not even missing a song by Rosalía.
:heart:x6
The writers sure threw pretty much everything at this poor woman. And yet, somehow, she survives.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
There must be a part 2 for this movie
I mean... yeah I guess it's good(?). The acting is definitely really great but I really don't know what to feel with thestory as a whole and the ending.
"Nowhere" (2023), directed by Albert Pintó, is a gripping survival drama that takes place in the middle of the ocean. The film centers around Mia, played by Anna Castillo, who delivers a compelling performance. Pregnant and alone, Mia finds herself trapped in a shipping container, drifting at sea after fleeing a devastated totalitarian country.
The film's minimalistic setting is used effectively to create a sense of unease. Despite the confined space of a cargo ship, the film manages to remain engaging at every turn. The narrative is driven by Castillo's performance and the premise of survival against all odds.
The film does have its shortcomings. It takes a bit too long to find itself and struggles with tone. There are some disappointing choices in the film's directing, and the realism of the container's internal space could have been better conveyed.
However, Castillo's performance makes these issues easy to overlook. Her portrayal of a woman fighting not just for her own survival, but also for her newborn baby's, adds an emotional depth to the story.
In conclusion, "Nowhere" is a powerful Spanish thriller that effectively uses its claustrophobic setting and strong lead performance to deliver an engaging survival drama. Despite its flaws, it's definitely worth watching.
An average movie about the longest glow stick ever.
