One Night in Bangkok 2020

Seen Collateral? Don't bother with this.
Haven't seen Collateral? Watch that instead.

hmmmm, thought the synapsis sounded familiar ... "A cab driver finds himself the hostage of an engaging contract killer as he makes his rounds from hit to hit during one night in Los Angeles." So, if you have seen Collateral (2004) you don't need to see this one ... not even wasting spending time to watch the trailer of this one.

Mark Dacascos spends One Night in Bangkok in this exciting revenge thriller. The story follows a man who hires a driver for a night as he makes several stops to confront the people who were involved in covering up the murder of his daughter and her husband and child. Dacascos gives an outstanding performance and newcomer Vanida Golten is also quite good. Also, the fight scenes and gun-fu are incredibly intense and kinetic. And the dialog between the two leads is especially well-written; making some astute observations about life and loss. The material may be a little familiar, but One Night in Bangkok is entertaining and action-packed.

The use of split screen camera shots is so useless and tacky looking. Rough acting. Fair story.

Potentially the most wooden acting I’ve seen in a film! Switched off after 20 minutes.
