This movie has been a joy to watch! If you are a fan of One Piece or Anime in general than you will not be disappointed after having seen this movie.
Eiichiro Oda (the author of the immensely popular Manga and Anime One Piece) manages to draw us into a 108 minutes long masterpiece of animation, storytelling and action that we after 15(!) years of watching are used to from the Anime One Piece. Without a doubt is this one of those movies that some point in the future deserves a re-watch.
It's not a perfect movie. The background story of ex-admiral Z before known as Zephyr could have been a little bit more worked out, but as far as Shonen Jump Anime films go its definitely high up my list of best Anime movies ever. I guess some of the limitations of a movie is that you have to cramp everything in 2 hours or less to keep the movie interesting. Something that the TV show Anime is famously known for avoiding in great humongous lengths.
Overall i would definitely recommend this movie. Why i waited more than a year after the release to finally see this considering that i am a huge One Piece fan is something i cannot comprehend.
