Operation Christmas Drop 2020

In a word: Boring!

I will say I did enjoy Kat Graham and Alexander Ludwig in the lead roles, I thought they worked well together. They are, unfortunately, the only plus points I have for 'Operation Christmas Drop'.

It really is just so dull. The way they set the plot up is weak, with it instantly becoming obvious what is on the way. You are just waiting for Graham's character to switch, which she actually does quite early on. So the rest of the film, until the 'big moment', is filled with nothingness... just pointless filler.

The real life story that inspired this is quite cool, but this doesn't do it any justice sadly. It isn't even anything negative, at least to me, but there's little to nothing positive about it either.

After surviving the Hunger Games Alex Ludwig become a better man and started new mission dropping goodies to the kids in the districts with parachutes. Sorry but I slept through. I love Alex and I loved Kat in TVD but this was not it

Kat Graham and Alexander Ludwig spread holiday cheer in Netflix’s Operation Christmas Drop. An Air Force base in Guam is forced to prove the benefits of their humanitarian program Operation Christmas Drop to avoid being shut down when a congresswoman’s aide is sent there to do an evaluation. Both Graham and Ludwig give strong performances, and are backed by a solid supporting cast that includes Virginia Madsen and Aaron Douglas. Additionally, the characters are well-written; particularly Graham’s character, who’s more complex than one would expect in this type of film. And the soundtrack does an especially good job at capturing the tropical Christmas feel; featuring several unique covers of traditional songs. Operation Christmas Drop is a fun and entertaining film that celebrates the spirit of the season.

Certainly not the best Christmas movie I've seen. Story wise very predictable which is okay because most movies in this genre are however this story felt rushed and lacked depth. Erica had some sort of character development but it wasn't enough, very shallow.
I also think they went wrong with the casting. On their own Kat and Alexander were good fits for the characters they portrayed but when put together there was almost no chemistry and that is kind of crucial in these movies. You want to feel the love blossoming and this felt forced. They would've been better as just friends because that was the only vibe I got from them.

We find out that the guy flying the plane that drops crates on Fortnite was in the Hunger Games. Still, the movie is a disaster
