Correct !!!
This reminded me about a situation I loved somebody like that.
I did the best thing I could, after selling everything I owned and almost buying a house with her.
I left, while still in love with her !!!
I'm married for 7 years now and we still love eachother, good warning for folks out there don't think you can fix a person or make them feel better.
Get out while you can...
One of the most REAL movies i have ever watched.Leading actors on fire and so so damn realistic.
Cant find why this movie is so underrated.Just watch it worths like hell
(+ also. this is the only movie I ever re-watched in it's entirety with the director's commentary track on, just to hear what Mendes was thinking and to prove my points to my girl :)
The quality in Kate and Laonardo's acting is amazing. Watching them on the screen is great.
Brilliant film. The performances are spot-on, as would be expected with such an all-star cast. Michael Shannon presents a character different from any I've seen from him, and as the porte-parôle, he's fabulous. Thomas Newman's score conveys the spirit of the screenplay from the first measure; I loved it. This film captures perfectly the 1950s-60s awfulness of suburban America, while it resonates with our lives in 2022, as the American isolation continues to contrast more and more sharply with the European sense of community with each passing year.
It's fine but beyond the good performances from DiCaprio and Winslet, there is nothing really special about this.
Due to it's depressing subject matter, it's not really a film you can sit down and just flat out enjoy or be entertained that much from. It's not a film for everyone. If you are just looking to be entertained and have a good time seeing a film, I don't think I would recommend this. It's shows the stark brutal reality of an unhappy suburban couple. If your looking for a film that more than that, one that is filled with terrific performances, great cinematography and direction, then you should check this out sometime. It's a really well made film all around, but be warned, it may be a hard one to enjoy.
This is the movie I compare all horrible movies too. Such a POS movie that is the most depressing movie ever made (Blue Valentine is a very close 2nd). If you're into depressing relationships, those are for you! lol
do not get married kids
The so-called mentally ill guy was the only sane person on it
You know how to cherish what you lose, don't you?
How and why was this nominated for 3 Oscars, 4 Golden Globes, 4 BAFTAs, and so much more? I don't get it. Or was it because it was Leo and Kate? I love them both, but HERE, they were mediocre at best.
It's always so wonderful to see Leo and Kate on the same screen, they really have such amazing chemistry that certainly portrays itself onto the screen. Now, I really don't like Rom-Dramas as I find not a lot happens, the same with Revolutionary Road. It's just a couple going through drama for two hours, but I suppose that's the genre of the film so that's what to expect. With this in mind, it takes a different approach. There is an undying love that seems to lose all value when both parties of the relationship want different things. The ending is certainly shocking and heartbreaking. Again, not my genre, but if I was to watch any Rom-drama it would be this. Professionally done, realistic storyline with a few great twists.
Following the lives of a seemingly faultless couple, a rather quiet storyline grows louder with the exposure of each discoloured part of the twos shared unhappy life together. While they try their best to make the extraordinary mirage they live a reality, it proves unattainable. Amazingly expressive and emotional performances by DiCaprio and Winslet (atop other characters), per usual.
This movie is probably the one I've had the most heated discussions ever about with my folks, highly recommended.
