Denis Villeneuve's first project, a documentary filmed shaky cam style with a narrator. It's all over the place and confusing at times with all the fast-paced dialogue and the philosophical questions being brought up. Felt like a lot. I love the french/english back and forth format, exactly like my own family dinners. A commendable message here, basically a culture shock documentary about how important it is to learn about other cultures. Learning and opening up your limited view on the world is so important. This is a good start for him, especially thematically you can see how this influenced him in doing some of his later works.
